CCR...

I forgot I had bought this at the Capitol Hill Sonic Boom store before it closed. I found a grip of used CCR albums there and picked most of them up. Creedence Clearwater Revival were one of those bands that got eaten up by radio; they made so many great pop hits that radio stations can literally play the greatest hits albums and never play anything else from their discography and the people would be happy, which is a shame because you'd be missing out on so many other killer tracks. I never really had the urge to buy their albums before because of that. I mean, my parents had their albums, and I listened to them when I lived with them, but never had the urge to buy them on my own. Mistake corrected. "Green River" is as good an album as any to start with if you want the discography. It's only got the two big hits on it "Bad Moon Rising" and of course "Green River", not that the rest of the songs drag; far from it. I loved "Wrote A Song For Everyone" as a kid, and "Commotion" too. Not a clunker on here. It's funny, with all the music in my collection, I chuckle to think that sometimes the most essential classic rock albums could be absent....

9 songs makes the count at 17719....
