Sweet little CD single I snagged at Easy Street for $3. God I love CD singles, you get the song off the album (which, in this case, is "Vapour Trail"), which is usually a great song, and then so many other songs, at least when it was the 90's. This particular single only has three extra tracks on it, but that's almost enough to qualify it as an EP, wouldn't you think? The bonus tracks on here are superior songs from the day. Pretty much confirming for me that Rid was the best shoegazer band of their day. "Sennen", with it's leisurely opening pace never really strays too far from it, mesmerises you, the guitars looping the riff around and around, it's quite hypnotic. All of the extra tracks on here are good, but not quite as good as anything off of "Nowhere", perfect for a CD single....4 songs makes the count at 17507....
Four+ song singles are the best. I was so bummed when they scaled back to three. And more often today, two.
